The Role

Greenacre Recruitment has partnered with a Supported Housing Association based in Nottingham to help source them an Income Officer. Providing proactive and professional debt support, the successful candidate will work with existing and new tenants, families and support agencies to gain a full understanding of their individual needs and housing requirements.

Responsibilities 

  • To liaise with Local Authorities regarding potential Rent levels and individual Housing Benefit claims
  • Monitor progress of claims and contacts with Local Authorities
  • Monitor and effectively manage tenant rent arrears
  • Produce rental invoices and void requisitions for care providers
  • Monitor, authorise and chase invoices for service charges, rental income and void invoices
  • Ensure that contractual agreements are adhered to 

Requirements 

  • Experience of rent collection and arrears management
  • Knowledge of Housing Benefit regulation and claims process
  • Knowledge of the Housing sector
  • Demonstrate outstanding collection performance
