Position: Head of Homes and Building Safety
Client: Johnnie Johnson Housing
Salary Package: £60,000 with a £1,200 car allowance (scope for negotiation)
Length of Contract: Permanent

Greenacre Recruitment are working alongside Johnnie Johnson Housing to Recruit a Permanent Head of Homes and Building Safety.

The post holder will take overall accountability by leading, co-ordinating and continually improving the work of the Asset, Repairs and Compliance team; providing professional, technical and procedural advice.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver effective strategic Asset Management; leading smarter services that can influence the shape and use of assets to meet the needs of JJH’s customers now and for the future.
  • Develop and enhance strategic contractor relationships leading to high levels of resident satisfaction for repairs, maintenance and all estate based services.
  • Strategically plan and ensure effective operational delivery of a multi-million-pound strategy for climate change. With a fabric first approach, ensuring our assets are sustainable and meet legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all Assets meet necessary building safety standards including future changes brought about through changing Building Safety and Fire Safety legislation.
  • Develop plans for emerging Technology to be included across all Asset Based decisions.
  • To ensure all asset regulatory compliance responsibilities are achieved and maintained, through robust processes providing assurance at Executive & Board level.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education to a degree level in building surveying or a business & finance discipline
  • Sound technical expertise relating to design, specification writing, contract administration, appraisals, fire safety, co-ordination of construction design and management, building surveys and site inspection/supervision of building projects of varying complexity
  • Budget management experience
  • Contract management experience
