Housing Development Service Manager 

Job Purpose

To achieve the delivery of new affordable housing to extend the Council’s Housing Stock.  To develop partnership working or Joint Ventures as appropriate.  To develop and support the Council’s relationship with key Registered Providers, private developers, and any Joint Venture/Council sponsored development vehicle established to enable housing delivery and Affordable Housing choice within the District

To assist in ensuring the Council optimises the level of Affordable Housing development achievable within the District, seeking out and securing new development opportunities

To recommend the acquisition of land and properties e.g. package deal developments, street properties and leased properties

To develop, support and co-ordinate the Council’s relationship with Registered Providers and Homes England and other partners including private developers, statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to maximise the delivery of Affordable Housing in the District

To act as one of the Council’s experts on Affordable Housing development and to appoint and manage consultants engaged to advise upon and assist with the delivery of the Council’s housing development programme

Closing date for applicants is end of play on Friday 30th October

1st stage interviews will be Wednesday 11th November with 2nd stage date TBC
