Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a London based housing organisation with their recruitment of an Interim Income Officer.

You will work hand in hand with local residents to maximise rental collection, support applications for Universal Credit /Benefits and provide money advice and support, to enable residents to maximise their income.

The team will need to tackle both complex and diverse issues as they emerge, with integrity, judgement and a strong sense of purpose. You’ll be driven by the passion to make a difference, inspire trust and have an empowering approach that gets the very best out of people. Furthermore, you will be sensitive and empathetic with the diverse needs of individuals, their families and communities.

  • Adhere to the Council’s strategic approach to income collection, preparedness and financial inclusion.
  • Developing income collection policies and procedures based on early intervention centred good practice.
  • Providing support to resident applying for Universal Credit
  • Pulling together data to assist with analysis and development of individual case plans
  • Working with the DWP and other key agencies around data provision and sharing protocols to ensure as seamless as possible “change of circumstances.”
  • Work with internal and external partners to formulate a general preparedness, money advice and financial inclusion framework.
  • Adhere to income collection policy and procedure including escalation and early intervention / sustainment approach.
  • Develop an agreed approach to non-engaging non-payers / high arrears cases
  • As part of early intervention approach, promote Direct Debit set up as early as possible as well as payment plans and signposting to general money advice.
  • Work within the Housing Management and foster and maintain relationships with internal teams and agencies to ensure tenancy sustainment and customer satisfaction
