Job Description –

  • Assist the team identifying land and partnership opportunities
  • Run financial appraisals to assess the viability of new opportunities
  • Submit offers on new schemes, undertaking due diligence to ensure that they meet the organisation’s and stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Appoint Consultants in accordance with the financial regulations (e.g. Architects, Cost Consultants, Employers Agents, Planning Consultants, and Solicitors) and act as sole client during the development period, including the monitoring the activities of the Consultants and Contractors.
  • Assist in the pre-planning public consultation on new developments in accordance with the Development procedure.
  • In liaison with the Development Team and levels of authority, directly take responsibility for planning project delivery, building milestones and checking progress against agreed deadlines. Through the build making process ensuring that development costs and targeted profitability balance back to the original plan
  • Manage individual schemes to practical completion and handover.
  • Liaise closely and effectively with both internal departments and external organisations and agencies, calling and attending project review and site meetings.
  • Prepare all necessary funding applications when required to do so by the Head of Development Delivery.
  • Liaise closely with funding authorities to ensure that the scheme progresses efficiently and complies with relevant statutory requirements in order to achieve full commitment of all available allocations of finance, and to facilitate an efficient and responsive working partnership with the funding authority so as to achieve further funding allocations.
  • Produce reports as required from time to time, on the progress of each project and the programme for which the post holder has responsibility against finance and time related targets.
  • Undertake special research projects where emerging policy requires us to be agile and responsive to change.
